11th Annual Guild Dinner Planned

Plans are underway for the 11th annual dinner for members of the Hearts & Hands Quilt Guild. This year, the dinner will be held at Miss Martha's Tea Room (www.MissMarthasTeaRoom.com), located at 165 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, PA.

The dinner will be held Wednesday, June 7, and will take the place of the regular monthly meeting. It will begin at 7 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:10 p.m.

Those planning to attend the dinner will have a choice of:

PICK ONE: Wedding Soup -- or -- Side Salad (mixed greens with salad vegetables and feta cheese)

PICK ONE: Chicken Salad Croissant -- or -- Grilled Chicken Wrap -- or -- Spinach-Bacon Quiche

DESSERT: Four mini-desserts will be served to each guest: Eclair, Cream Puff, Cheese Cake (one of seven differet kinds of cheese cakes), and Chocolate Mousse Dessert

BEVERAGE: a choice of Coffee -- or -- Hot Tea -- or -- Iced Tea

3rd Annual Bus Trip to Quilt Odyssey 2006

Plans are set for the Hearts & Hands Quilt Guild's third annual bus trip to Quilt Odyssey 2006 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Scheduled for Thursday, July 27, the trip offers a great opportunity to enjoy the afternoon at one of the premiere quilt shows and venor exhibits in the state, while eliminating the stress of driving and the hassle of parking.

Cost for the trip is $35 for Hearts & Hands Guild members and $40 for non-members. With the increasing cost of gas, this bus trip offers an economical way to visit the show and enjoy time with friends.

9 a.m. -- rest stop at Sidling Hill (PA Turnpike)

11:15 a.m. -- lunch at Bob Evans (Hershey, PA) Please note that all meals are the responsibility of individual travelers.

12:15 p.m. -- arrive at Quilt Odyssey 2006 (Hershey, PA)

4 p.m. -- depart Quilt Odyssey 2006

6 p.m. -- dinner at Ed's Steakhouse (Bedford, PA)

8:45 p.m. -- arrive Leah Personal Care Home parking lot (New Stanton, PA)

9 p.m. -- arrive Pennsville Baptist Church parking lot
